Elizabeth Isenburg is an interdisciplinary Ph.D. candidate in history and social science consortium at the University of Missouri: Kansas City. She relocated from New England to assist her dissertation on antebellum urban development in the both the Mississippi and Missouri River Valley. Her economic lens is through the Steamboat Arabia that was excavated and housed at the Steamboat Arabia Museum in Kansas City, Missouri.
